--------------------------

I am a person-centred counsellor and also have a qualification in cognitive behavioural therapy. I believe counselling is a journey of self-discovery and personal development that is a continual process both during and after therapy has taken place. Through counselling, a person will learn about themselves in a way they would never intend or maybe expect. As a counsellor I will be alongside you on your therapeutic journey and create a safe space that is respectful and non-biased to allow you to discover yourself and work through any issues that may be troubling you.

I have experience in working with a variety of issues such as depression/anxiety, Ptsd, abuse, relationships, bereavement to name a few. I offer client led sessions that are focused on you and your specific needs. Although you may have a good support network within family or friends it is sometimes more beneficial to speak to someone unconnected to you without bias to help you explore and understand your feelings, emotions and behaviours and to begin to implement change that is in benefit of self and allow you to look towards your future. I primarily work in a person-centred client led way, meaning that I sit with you in those vulnerable, dark times and work with you to find comfort and light.

After having both positive and negative experiences with counselling myself, I want to give people an opportunity to access counselling services without judgement of individual needs or situations. I believe counselling should be accessible to all and aim to make this possible.

------------------------

Counselling can be a unique and helpful experience, in my view counselling should be tailored to the need to the client and meet their needs as an individual. As a counsellor I aspire to be non-judgemental and supportive in your counselling journey.

I qualified as a person-centred counsellor and would say this is my core modality. PCT (Person Centred Therapy) has its feet firmly rooted in the benefits of a therapeutic relationship and I feel this is truly key to ensuring the best possible outcome for therapy.

Personally, I have first-hand experience counselling in various settings. and I know this can be a daunting time and knowing which therapy type or counsellor is right for you can be a difficult decision to make. So, understanding a little about me may help.

Post qualification in my core methodology I was driven to understand more about therapy and enhance my skillset to deliver a more effective and well-rounded service for my clients. I have therefore completed CPD (Continuous Professional Development) courses, and have further qualifications in modalities such as

Transactional Analysis Course Level 3

Diploma in psychoanalysis at QLS Level 3

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Diploma Course Level 3

I also have a qualification in Ascentis Level 3 Award in Education and Training which allows me to provide training and education to adult learners in a private training setting.

I am driven to continuously deliver a personalised, non-judgemental and professional counselling service that will help those who need support or are looking to improve their mental wellbeing.
